The BBC Show ( Bristish Blues Chronicles

The Gaslight Music Hall , 13005 N Oracle Rd, Tucson

In the 1960s American blues music became popular across Great Britain and inspired several young British bands to take up their guitars and emulate their blues heroes such as Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Bo Diddley and Ray Charles. Groups such as the Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds featuring Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page, The Kinks, and Fleetwood Mac spread the popularity of the genre back to America, where all the early Blues masters were largely forgotten by the mainstream. The British Blues Chronicles pays tribute to these English bands who rekindled America's love of the roots of rock and roll R&B and the Blues!
